Remote Authenticator – IMAP Account token creation Bug

When using the Aid4Mail remote authenticator with an IMAP account, there is a bug that results in an error (“Missing OAth 2.0 Client ID or Client secret”) when adding an IMAP account (such as from Yahoo! or Gmail).

The good news is that there is a workaround. Simply add “imap:” before the email address to resolve the issue. For example:

imap:john@aid4mail.com

After adding “imap:” and the email address, you can now click Start and move forward with creating the token.
