We have unfortunately found that native filtering with Yahoo! and AOL accounts via the IMAP protocol is quite unreliable and these issues lie in the Yahoo! and AOL servers (not with Aid4Mail). We kindly ask that you make sure to double check the exports and logs that Aid4Mail creates to verify collections when collecting from Yahoo! and AOL accounts.

For example, if you add a native date filter using “Within date range” and only add a “From:” date like this:

The results may not be reliable.

If you simply add a “To:” date, like this:

We have found that this will produce more reliable results. So if you want to collect all emails from January 31st, 2015 to the present (which we will say is July 1st, 2022), we suggest adding 2022-07-01 in the “To:” field for the collection.
